It has always been my dream to be a teacher. Teaching is something that I take pride in, when a child learns something new because of the time and effort I put into it, it feels good. It tells me that I have done my job right. I love seeing their smiling faces come through the door it completes my day when we have fun adventures and create some great things during the day. We hope that your family enjoys their time that they spend with us because we know your child does. By posting pictures on your child's profile, we feel that parents can be included in their child's day even when they are not there in person. We feel like we have created an atmosphere that both your children and yourself as parents feel welcomed and want to be here everyday. We have a great group of hard working and dedicated teachers and under my direction we hope to provide the best service in child care in our area.

At Little Buddies Preschool Centre, we believe in creating a family centered atmosphere. When you drop off your little one, we want our families to feel like they are an extension of our family. By providing child care services in a home, we feel we can better promote the health, safety, nutrition, and well-being of the children in our care. We believe that this atmosphere gives children, parents, and staff the opportunity to engage in positive and responsive interactions. By having smaller classroom ratios teachers are able to support children as they interact and communicate in positive ways with the others in their class, and are more available to support the children’s ability to self-regulate.
In our daily program we believe that exploration, play, and inquiry, are most valuable in children’s learning. We take pride in creating a positive environment for our children age 0-12, and supporting them through their learning and development. Using our knowledge of child development, as well as Ministry approved curriculum, we strive to plan programming that best suits the learning for each child in the classroom. By incorporating the indoor and outdoor classroom, children explore concepts more in dept. Additional consideration, such as active play, rest time, and quiet time play an important role in the daily program as well. Our staff takes into consideration the individual needs of each child when planning for all activities throughout the day. By providing an open door policy, we encourage parent involvement and consistent communication within our program. Community involvement also plays a large role in our daily programming; we strive to work alongside community partners, and local businesses to bring services that our families need. In our continuous journey to be the leader in child care, we require all staff to actively participate in continuous learning, and promote workshops and services available for parents and others who are in contact with the children in our care. . By providing hands on learning experiences, and lots of materials for children to manipulate, we encourage children to actively explore the environment around them. Through play children learn valuable concepts, such as language skills, problem solving, coordination, and spatial awareness. By encouraging children’s inquiry, we can provide opportunities for children to learn about what they are interested in, ask the questions they are want to know, and make meaningful connections to what they are learning. Creating positive environments starts with each child feeling safe and secure in the classroom. Our smaller classroom sizes allow our teachers to use conflict resolution, and self regulation practices that foster positive social skills in children. Daily observation, reflection, and documentation are just some of the ways in which child care providers can base curriculum off of the individual needs of every child. The outdoor classroom is just as important as the indoor classroom. By providing learning experiences outdoors that reflect what the children are learning inside, children’s curiosity can thrive. Math, language, science, and art are all present outdoors. The children are encouraged to engage in active play, as well as games, and activities provided by the teachers. Children spend nearly two hours each day in the outdoor classroom (weather permitting). When the outdoor space is not available, accommodations have been made so that children can participate in gross motor activity inside as well, using our common rooms area. We hold family events regularly and encourage your whole family to attend. We feel that having parents involved will show children they are in a safe place and will gain a sense of security. It is also nice way to see what your little ones have been working on and put faces to the friends they always talk about. There’s something special about watching your little one interacting with their buddies. Through parent approved apps, staff can connect to parents all day long, whether it is through photos, general updates, or messages. Parents can get a snapshot of their child’s day at the touch of a button. Community involvement is a very huge part of growing into diverse and well rounded individuals. Children will be encouraged to help out local charities as a group and will learn pride and accomplishment when helping others. Our Buddies take part in a variety of field trips and community events and learn to be strong and independent children in our community. We believe that by teaching children about how to be a responsible citizen, they will learn to better deal with issues like bullying and fitting in with peers. Through positive community interaction, our children know that their community is a safe place to be, and that there is always someone there to help them if they need it. I wish to thank you in advance for choosing our preschool and for giving us the opportunity to become part of your family. We promise to always work together with any concerns or issues and will always be accepting with non judgement. Inclusion, Access and Equity PolicyBy having a preschool open to diversity we will learn new and exciting things about the people around us. By teaching our children that there are differences in our family lives and that not all of them have the same beliefs will allow our children to be well rounded and diverse individuals. Open to any new possibilities that children would normally be afraid of.
We promise to maintain the inclusion, access and equity policy by including any individuals that choose our program and to maintain an open door policy to any families who wish to share with us some of their beliefs and customs. We will be learning about all the different holidays and different customs that our children celebrate. We will also be learning new words in different languages. Children will always be given the opportunity to feel like they belong by always including each individual in any activity that we may be doing. The classrooms will promote diversity in several ways including pictures, books and activities. By being part of our community children will see and learn about different situations that may be occurring in their neighbourhood like unemployment or old age. Learning these skills at an early age will teach the children to grow into open minded and strong individuals. We will ensure that any opportunities to enhance your child's stay with us will not ignored. Any concerns about behaviours or learning difficulties will be given our complete attention. We will enlist any agencies that are needed and will help provide an outlet for the agencies to observe and help the needs of the child. Any advancements or adjustments needed to accommodate a new family will be reviewed and considered before turning any families away. If we don't have the necessary equipment to meet their needs we will be more than willing to help find a place where the equipment is accessible for them. All teachers are hired based on the fact that they have the same outlook as our Policy so no families will have to worry about their children's needs not being met. Any upcoming training seminars that teachers can benefit from we will be there to make sure we stay current with any new learning strategies to better help our children. As a centre we will ensure all the information collected will be confidential and will not release any information without written permission from the parents. Any families asked to withdraw from the centre will be handled professionally and will not go without a good reason. All resources will be used before coming to this conclusion. If a child is constantly showing aggressive behaviours and is asked to withdrawal parents will receive a notice of termination and we will make every effort to find a centre that can meet the child's needs and to ensure an easy transition. |
LeBrecque Family We are writing this letter in support Tammy Brochert & her new Day Care. We have known Tammy in two capacities. For several years she provided day care support to several of our special needs foster children while she was a staff member at a local Amherstburg based day care. We noted immediately Tammy’s enthusiasm, dedication and skill level in not only providing excellent supervision to our children but assisting in the assimilation of these children and their special needs within the group. All of our children that have been exposed to Tammy integrated amazingly well into the program, it’s activities, and their peer group. Tammy’s love of children is obvious and we completely endorse her new venture.
We were also pleased to have Tammy provide excellent D.J. services for us during multiple Special Olympic dinner/fundraisers. During these events Tammy proved again that her skill set is grounded in the concept of inclusion. Everybody is encouraged to participate and each activity and event is geared towards ensuring every person in the group is made to feel important and their unique limitations are accounted for. I am more then happy to provide reference for Tammy Brochert in support of her efforts to become a mentor and to continue in the education of children.
I have known Mrs. Brochert for the last 3 1/2-4 years in which time she has been a trusted and dependable child care provider to my two children. My relationship with Tammy is many great things. She is a trusted and reliable child provider, committed and compassionate employer, and a loyal and kind friend. Tammy has many strengths, some I have mentioned already but are certainly not limited to. She is dedicated and committed to the learning and growth of children/youth and their families. She is kind and patient and always finds a way to reach a child and speak to their specific needs and understanding. She is professional, polite and can provide an environment that is welcoming to children of various ages and need requirements. I believe that Tammys background and entrepreneural skills provide her with a unique ability to to adapt to many different environments. She is the owner/operator of a licensed daycare, she has coached a children's soccer team, she often offers after school homework and extra learning guidance. I have no concerns about Tammy being a mentor to high school students. In closing I support Tammy in her efforts and feel she will be a valuable asset to your program. Sincerely Charmaine VandenBrink Justin Taveirne

Tammy has been a part of my son’s life for several years at a local Child Care Centre. During these years, I have learned that Tammy is a very caring and loving person which has reflected on the children in her care. She communicates all issues or concerns regarding your child whether positive or negative and as a working mother, it is very important to be a part of your child’s daily progressions. Tammy has become a wonderful role model to my son and she has made a lasting impact in his life as well as mine. I support this new journey in her life as I am confident that Tammy will continue to be a very positive influence to many children in the years to come. I wish you all the best Tammy,
Sincerely, Gina Muscat Taylor Family
